Make sure it's the subbed uncut version vs. dubbed. :) If you're not keen on sitting through all 214 episodes (and movies), I'd prioritize Sailormoon, the second half of R (the Black Moon arc), and especially S ...Both series have amazing music but the charm of the original series can’t be beat. Original. Crystal is a clearly a cheaply done cash in and it's major selling point (closer to the manga) is undermined by all the numerous nonsensical changes (the generals/guardians romance thing). And Rei found every reason to put Usagi down. Yes, Usagi was lazy at times and didn't study, but she was also brave, compassionate, powerful, and loyal.
