Pinacoteca Ambrosiana, Milano (MI) La Pinacoteca Ambrosiana è stata ideata e istituita nei primi anni del Seicento per volontà del cardinale Federico Borromeo, come sostegno e modello per una futura Accademia di Belle Arti. La quadreria è composta dalla collezione del cardinale, descritta nella sua opera, "Musaeum", nel 1625. La Pinacoteca Ambrosiana è stata riconosciuta da Regione Lombardia come Museo provvisoriamente nel 2004, definitivamente nel 2007.
