The head is a direct bolt on and you can use all 50 degrees of vtc. The pistons are much lower. compression and have plenty of clearance. Look to be about 200whp/150 tq when finished with good bolt ons. If you use a k20a3 from a base model RSX it should have a PRB type s oil pump already so you have some freedom with the rev limiter.I've looked into motoiq's write up and it explains how to build the engine essentially from scratch and it is a turbo application. The z3 head was the right choice, z1 is the same as a2 with the water port on the front of the head and not the side. The z3 head is only a few cfm behind the PRB type s casting. The k20z3 head is probably one of the best 4cyl heads made. Along with the f20c And the motor that comes in the Ferrari 458. The z7 on the other hand...not so much.
