I think someone could make a strong argument that Frasier is better than Friends, but Friend's was geared towards the 20 and 30 year olds of the time who are now the TV execs, writers, critics, and largest audience block. Friends was therefore far more influential. My least favorite episodes are usually ones where Niles and Frasier are just being cringe-y levels of absurd, like the one where they find the skull in the old house and assume it was a murder, and the one where they keep trying to get into the more exclusive part of the spa.
