I like playing survival infested to level up my weapons and killing them is easy but the toxic damage just takes away my hp little by little until i eventually die. Having enemies that can bypass shields, like toxic damage, or can wipe them …So that toxic dot will bypass shields. 1) No, toxic damage will not bypass proto shield with direct damage or dot. 2) Gas does cause an aoe toxic proc so it will bypass (normal) shields. 3) Acrid procs toxic dot on every attack. It will be toxic damage even if it deals other direct damage type.
