If I'm thinning regular polish especially anything with glitter, I use OPI's thinner since it only contains butyl acetate and ethyl acetate. There are other thinners with only those two ingredients, but I like their bottle best. It depends on what you expect/want. I would describe them as basically a protein shake with oats and other textured stuff in it. I guess they could also be described as super liquid-y, cold oatmeal, but there are alternate directions to make a warm, thick oatmeal. I just do it the regular, overnight way though.
